Most pages are tied to National Parks; an example of an in-depth look at parks is regarding the physical features of rainforests. Students are given data for the climate in Olympic and Hawaii Volcanoes National Parks, and they then create climographs plotting the temperature (with a line graph), and plotting precipitation (with a bar graph).
Additionally, there are two review pages included for students to check their progress.
All answer keys are provided.
Finally, as a culminating event to the workbook, students will brainstorm information to create an imaginary national park and then draw a map with all of the typical map elements.
